Study on Strategies for Capacity Building of Integrated Chemicals Management (19) - Creation of Information Mutual-utilization and Dissemination System with International Consistency based on our Proposal of Integrated Chemicals Management Law-

Abstract: We here examine the current status of information publication systems in three websites managed by chemicals sections which belong to METI MLHW or ENV in comparison with a concept of information publication system defined by the draft integrated management of chemicals law which we proposed previously. And we made sure that the existing information systems managed by these ministries are not a kind of information system which provides practical information on risk assessment and risk management of chemicals in our society for the sake of sharing them among all social sectors. Therefore we propose that the government takes actions to realize Diet’s Supplementary Resolutions in May 2009 concerning the establishment of the legal system of integrated chemicals management and the unified administrative agency in addition to create a new information sharing and publication system based on the new legal and administrative setting.
