A task force of Chemo Bio Integrated Management Society in Japan has decided to deal with the development of strategies for strengthening capacities of chemicals management beyond Japanese national profile published in October 2003. We here outline our ideas about two approaches; one is frame change of Japanese regulatory systems to more integrated one and the other is establishment of a central professional organization for chemicals hazard evaluation and hazard related communication systems such as GHS classification system and SDS system.
